What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an Experience Marine Technician who is excited to grow with us as we expand our business. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining inboard and outboard engines, electrical systems, and other marine components. This role requires technician experience, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and quality work.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair marine engines, outboard/inboard motors, and propulsion systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including wiring, batteries, alternators, and control panels.
Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tune-ups, and system inspections.
Install and service navigation, communication, and onboard electronics (GPS, radios, radar).
Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including bilge pumps and freshwater/wastewater systems.
Operate diagnostic equipment and assist with sea trials and water tests.
Maintain detailed service records and ensure timely completion of work orders.
Adhere to marine safety regulations and clearly communicate repair details to customers.
Other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
Experience as a Marine Technician.
Boating experience and the ability to operate a boat.
Arizona boater card, or the willingness to get one.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Must provide own tools.
Ability to pass a background check.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to
Positive attitude and open to learning and participating in online or in-person training..
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel regularly.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and on/around water.
Able to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, dust, and fumes.
Preferred:
Certifications in marine repair (e.g., ABYC, Yamaha, Mercury, or Honda Marine).
Knowledge of federal, state, and local marine regulations.
